Maybe Kobe will shut up long enough to learn from LeBron. Play the hand you have, and make it better with your superstar skill. But alas, Jellybeans’ son was taught to go for self, and so he’ll always do that.

Lawrence, LeBron wouldn’t have gotten to the Finals if his team was in the Western Conference. They would’ve lost to the Suns, too.
Lemme preface with: I’m not a LeBron hater. I like him and I’m rooting for the Cavs in the Finals. But real talk…
In terms of overall game (lest we forget that defense and jump-shooting count), Kobe is better than LeBron. Matter of fact, LeBron has a better supporting cast. Kobe’s got Lamar Odom, who’s inconsistent as hell and has never been the scorer we expected him to be. Oh, plus Walton’s boy, Smush Parker and Kwame Brown. Who’s his Ilgauskas, Gooden and Hughes? Who’s Kobe’s Boobie?
And dammit, if Kobe scored 48 points, we’d all be like, “What’s the big deal? He had a decent night.” That puts it in perspective.

man lebron probably isnt a beter player then kobe but hes stronger faster and taller a way better passer and hes unstoppable driving to the basket and i think hes the better dunker which is true cuz he is now kobes a way better jump shooter better scorer im not sure bout defense maybe hes a lil better or there equal but the trait the kobe has over lebron and over every other player that truly makes him the best is his clutch performance and thats wut lebron lacks

Ummmm? ok SJH. You dont know what your talking about. Yeah Kobe takes over games. but i havent seen Kobe do THAT in the PLAYOFFS. PLAYOFFS. PLAYOFFS. Kobe does it in the regular season. Im a kobe fan i saw him and Lebron go at it at the state farm USA basketball challenge in Las Vegas. And i think Kobe is better, but to say Lebron had a decent night, 29 of the last 30. 48 points, in the eastern conference finals. ( i dont care if its the east, the west and the east still play the same sport… basketball ) is really sounding EXACTLY like a Lebron hater

I think Kobe has the potential to be the “next Jordan” but I feel he will never trully get the respect he deserves becasue of his attitude.

illest - I second that. It’s more than just talent and 81 point games. Everything has to line up perfectly for another player to be considered on MJ or Magic’s level. Meaning you have to be as good or better and be in situation condusive to winning (ALOT). Kobe will always have the monkey on his back of not winning a championship without Shaq in his prime leading the team (Kobe fans he hasn’t even won a playoff series yet without shaq) and LeBron needs major help from management if he is going to win anything in Cleveland.

ok first of all kobe is a more talented player!you cant argue with the offensive numbers kobe puts up. he dropped 81 on my raptors and that cant be beat, BUT lebron is the most balanced talent in the NBA, when you need him to score he scores, when he has to pass he passes, when you need boards he rebounds, when you need a steal he hits the floor, when you need a shotblocker he is in the paint, when you need a 3pt play he will answer.and he does all these things at a superstar level. just scoring is no answer for all of that. give me a choice which player to play with and i choose the king anyday

I think calling LeBron the next Jordan is an insult…to LeBron. I see him as the next Magic. LeBron came into the league creating for others…straight out of high school. It took Jordan time under Dean Smith at UNC AND a few years in the NBA to realize he had other options. LeBron may want to take the last shot because winners always do, even if they miss but if he finds an open teammate, he will hit them with the pass with no remorse.
The next 23? Nah, I am thinking 32…kind of like some guy from Michigan State named Earvin.

First of all, evr since he was a rookie, lebron has been a phenom, he made it to da finals w/o a player like shaq, he’s not only a scorer but also a passer,rebounder or if u need him 2 defend, he will defnd,he’s not selfish or self-centered, he’s a better leader than whoever u think is better and by the way who’s kobe bryant?what has he proven?….one thing is for sure, bryant is the one who is over-rated by many…lebron is,was and will always be the best around here.PERIOD.PERIOD.
