In many ways, he’s the last of a breed: a spitting, sweating, trash-talking breed of player that plays ball not ballet.
But if what Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva tweeted is true, KG was out of bounds, flagrantly.
After Boston pounded Detroit 109-86 on Tuesday night, the shaved-headed Villanueva, who suffers from alopecia universalis, a medical condition that causes hair loss, tweeted that KG had trash-called him a “cancer patient” during the game.
On Twitter: “KG called me a cancer patient, I’m pissed because, u know how many people died from cancer, and he’s tossing it like it’s a joke.
“I wouldn’t even trip about that, but a cancer patient, I know way 2 many people who passed away from it, and I have a special place 4 those.”
C’mon, KG. If you said this, man-up and admit it, apologize to all cancer suffers–then write a fat-ass check to the American Cancer Society. Then go visit some patients.
Villanueva had 17 points and seven rebounds in the game.
